My story

Despite the decades spent in the United States and Canada - Al-Ain city in the United Arab Emirates has a charm I haven't found anywhere around the globe.

I was born at Tawam Hospital, Al-Ain - and grew up in this beautiful city, after which I completed an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, Canada.

After completing medical school, I completed my General Surgery Residency training at MedStar Health, Baltimore, USA from 2009-2015. I then passed the American Board of Surgery (ABS) in 2015 and became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). 

I then completed fellowship training in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, with a focus on Bariatric Surgery from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida USA from 2015-2016.

I then returned to our beloved UAE to serve the community at Tawam Hospital as a Consultant Surgeon from 2017-2022, after which I joined as full time faculty at UAE University College of Medicine and Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor in Surgery.

I currently see patients at STMC (Sheikh Tahnoon Medical City) General Surgery Clinic, Burjeel Royal Hospital in Asharej and Ain Al Khaleej Hospital.
